It was still shirt and jeans. Just not as plain and boring as the rest...
Oh, and don't you be giving them any ideas!
(The Gala will still be archived on the Eurovision site, so no need to worry for us that do not get geo-blocked).

The two kids that did routines are back with somebody dressed up as a weird blob with a picture of the mascot on it.

To be honest, considering the year they had (training like crazy to get it together), i think they didnt really have the time/energy to create a full on proper, and unique exhibition number with differemt costumes and different choreography. I hoped they would skate to something more fun and playful or something that helps them connect with eachother.

Here's one of my most favourite versions. This song was associated with Qantas for many many years, and it never fails to bring a lump to my throat!

The Pairs came on and did a few things. Followed by the Men. And the the Ice Dancers. And finally the Ladies.
I can imagine the TV director pulling his hair out trying to decide what camera to go to!
Thankfully the Champions came out individually.
And then everybody did a move. Then the bow and lap of honour.
Pretty short finale. But, I suppose it fitted, because it was a pretty short Gala compared to what we are used to.
Thankfully it was longer than what we got at the Asian Games, which only had the Champions performing, and so was over in less than 30 minutes.
And thankfully the skaters here at Junior Worlds decided to do their own things after the planned ending to keep the audience entertained!

Have to laugh at the announcers coming on over the tannoy to round things up, in a not-very-subtle way of trying to drop hints to the skaters to hurry up and finish!
