People thought that jwc were guaranteed a spot last year too but no one could find it in the rules. I don't see it this year either.
Their wc lp finish means nothing unfortunately. The only thing that matters about the wc is if you're in the top 10 or not. After that nothing about worlds is considered.
Even if, they should be at least included in teams that will probably get a spot
What I find form last year GP announcemet:
Medallists from the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2016 and the gold medallists from the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2015/16 will be included in the selection process. Skaters/Couples who have stated their intention to skate as Senior in the season 2016/17 might be included in the Grand Prix event(s) if they fulfil the requirements of the minimum Grand Prix score.
That sound like guranteed spot for Aleksandrovskaya/Windsor to me. Unless rules changed.
