Interesting schedule. But I don't understand why in the world 2018 worlds was moved up so early considering the olympics is squeezed in after 4 c's and Euros. It just seems to me a better chance skaters will not go to worlds after the olympics I can see say the entire Russian female team being replaced.

The Worlds schedule 2018 is probably dictated by Easter which this year is celebrated in the last week of March and a competition in Italy (where Easter is a big holiday) that week would not really be possible. The first week in April starts with a public holiday in Italy, so not really a possibility to start the competition week.
