She is a great skater. Let's see if she makes it to the GPF.

She seemed to hesitate on the podium about how high she should hold her medal

Thank you puremagic! Mako certainly deserves her own thread. Do you happen to know what her other JGP event is? I'm assuming she would definitely have a second one.

Of course Mako has a second spot. She will skate in Zagreb, Croatia. (27.09 - 30.09)

Nice job in the SP today at Worlds by Mako. She's in 3rd, so I hope she can keep a place on the podium! Good luck in the FS And look at Fluffy with her. Honestly, that woman is amazing. She is all over the World! Wonder when she leaves for Milan. Protocols from the SP. http://www.isuresults.com/results/se..._SP_Scores.pdf

Congratulations to Mako getting the bronze!

By the way, I support this. Give her the Russian PCS! Not quite sure why she's in that picture, but okay...

Gongrats to Mako for her bronze medal! I was at the arena and got so excited for her. She did really well and held it together, skating after Sasha. I'm not so sure what exactly happened for her to end up in the picture of Team Tutberidze, but they all skated to the exit of the rink and the coaches came to take the picture. She was there with them and she seemed a bit lost, not knowing exactly what to do and Sergei told her something and invited her to take a picture with them. I thought that it was really nice.

Mako is another one that surprised me! What an amazing event and last group that was, miles above the others. Loved her in the SP and her free program was even better, as it showed her power AND grace! What composure to skate so well after Sasha. She was amazing to see live, will keep my eyes on her in the future. Really deserved medal!

^I am hoping it is not because of injury too. The statement was vague of why she withdrew.

I meant to put the link to the statement but forgot and then couldn't remember where I'd read it. I loved her program, but I thought she seemed super nervous while performing. I figured it was just ice skating show nerves, but maybe she was uneasy due to injury.

ETA -- There was no explanation about why she cancelled. Found the announcement on THE ICE official web site.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BlnYsqJD...=12floe1jq5b83. Thank you to feimeicheng for posting info about Mako's programs for the upcoming season. She will have a new SP, Una Voce Poco Fa, and will keep her Madame Butterfly FS from last season. I enjoyed her MB program so was happy to hear that. Both choreographed by Coach Fluffy.
