Have mixed feelings here for Daleman. I partly hope she comes out strong to show that the bronze at worlds was not a 1 hit wonder - yet I also know that she sometimes needs a lower finish early on to give her a kick in the pants to step up her game. I really think had she won 4CC last year she would not have done as well as worlds. It was only by dropping in the long that gave her the push to do even better at worlds.

I don't know, I think dropping at 4CC was motivating, but I think the more important part was that it showed her she could be a top lady. After Worlds she talked about about how her coaches, Javi and Dylan Moscovitch sat her down before Worlds to tell her that she was capable of medalling and she needed to believe that. I think that believe was more important than "a kick in the pants".

Also, off topic, but I love her friendship with Javi.

I think Daleman needs to crush this competition (although I most look forward to seeing Kostner's performance). Start strong and never let up.

I am quite curious to see what Polina will be able to deliver here..Has she got the Lutz and Flip back in her competitive arsenal and will she be able to go for a 3/3 in the SP.
Also, would love to see Wang step up this Olympic season and she has one of the few tano jump I actually like (3 Loop).
I have been waiting for 2 years for Liza to get her act together again and I will continue to keep my hope up as she is one of the Russian ladies I enjoy the most on the ice.
I expect to see Kostner doing better here than at her first competition and her SP is a masterpiece!
I have no idea what to expect for Daleman and what about the Japanese lady, is she a gold medal contender in this field?

Too many skaters I like here:cool2:

Masha, Polina, Liza, Caro, Gabby, Dabin :cheer: :dance2: :party2:

I have a good feeling Brooklee will do well too. My head might explode trying to figure out who to root for. I think the only fair thing to do is root for them for the rest of the season based on the results of this events placements in order

I'm sending good vibes to Russian Veteran Alena Leonova. This will be her final season and with the Russian depth, I fear that she will not make the Olympic Team. She can begin to make a name for herself if she is able to defeat the other Russian Ladies at some point during the season.

This competition is packed full of skaters I'm partial to. A group with vastly different personalities. Don't anyone forget Yuna the rock :)
