So I think we may be able to read between some lines here and draw a tin foil hat conclusion that does not paint anyone in a bad light.

We know Kori is a fan of Gustave Lussi and his technique. Cecily Morrow is clearly also a fan/proponent of this technique/style.

Tammy, I don't recall said anything derogatory about 7k's technique, but rather that Tyler was now using a "technique that maybe she was more comfortable with" (see here)

So my guess is that Kori wants to do a "Gustave Lussi" training center. That is fine, she is entitled to want to use the same technique and have a center that specializes in it. And I think it is fine to want to only teach what you feel you are comfortable with and know how to teach...for lack of a better way to put it. I do however think it seems a bit naive to think that one technique is best for everyone - so it seems logical some skaters/coaches would not be a perfect fit.

I would guess that Tammy, Tyler, and Vincent are just a bit more open to alternate technique to Lussi. I don't think it is necessarily a case of good vs bad or right vs wrong, just different ideas, goals, styles and different fit for a given individual.

Jason and Emily were spending time with Tyler fairly recently as seen here.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BCV_PvbTXDc/ So I don't think there is any reason to look for bad blood without more evidence.

I am choosing to see it as all a case of what fits for different people rather than anything drama ridden.

Romain and Mariah are an item, if all the heart emoticons on social media and photos together are an indication. What absolute cuties! Kori posted a tweet this week of Romain; so he has stayed. Alex Z was on a plane to California with Vincent on March 22 (Instagram). Was he following? Ben J: don't know.
As recently as mid-March Ben J was still at 7K.

I think tin foil hats are only good if it's proof of the evil Anti-Russian Konspiracy

I do not mean to denigrate Tyler. My gosh, the kid is 15, 16, whatever. She needs to be where she is happy. And I think she does like the skaters at 7K (well, who *doesn't* like Jason?).

    Adults are better for connect-the-dots....

Brendan is listed on the coaching roster for the workshop. You could always come back to the US of A! Did you see California

Did you notice (it was on Facebook earlier today) that Kori is away from 7k, and they have a coach covering for her and Ro? He said something very nice about Jason and 7k shared the post

Well, I was just scrolling through my FB feed and it turns out that Kori has been training skaters and coaches in Finland in something called the Nordic Development Project Follow Up Seminar. And not just anywhere - the training centre is like 15 miles from where I live I wish I had known, I might have tried to sneak in to watch the practices! Alena Leonova and Dimitri Aliev were the skaters demonstrating their teachings.

ETA: Lots of nice photos here: https://www.facebook.com/taitoluistelu/

Jere Michael is one of Courtney Hicks' coaches in Southern California. Seem there's a good relationship between Paramount and 7K.

Thank you TMC for the description of the Finnish skating event, sounds great, and thank you, Mrs. P, for the explanation about Jere Michaels. Rohene is in Minneapolis this week, so evidently Jere is minding the store while both Ko and Ro are away. This is what Jere said on Facebook (whenever I cite Fbook, it's public, I am no one's friend)

"Teaching an edge class with Jason brown in it is a humbling experience! As I believe he is the best figure skater this country has produced. Thank you to 7 k for thinking of me to help out while Koro is away!"

Will also post in the Jason fan fest....

Meanwhile, Courtney Hicks is in Chicago with many of the senior members of 7K for Jordan Moeller's One Skate at a Time show.

Skate 7K en route to Chicago (Ben Jalovick, Christina Cleveland, Jordan Moeller, Romain Ponsart, Mariah Bell, Ashley Shin)

    Courtney and Ben

    Ben busts a cool move

Ok, it should go in Romain's fan fest, but it might get more traction here ....

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BFavyU5L...=romainponsart

I can't count, but it looks impressive to me!

And Mariah and Romain looking so cute in that tall building in Chicago (I really do not remember the name, alas, I have never been to the Windy City)

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BFcUvBTR...mariahsk8rbell

I know MarRom are very very young, and no can predict the future, but in the long annals of figure skating couples, I am sorry, they have got to be among the cutest. Their little figure skating babies would be *adorable*....

Oh my gosh, how cute are they?! Looks like they are on the Ledge at the Willis Tower, formerly known as the Sears Tower.

I think Romain may be looking at a pretty good season this year. With a little luck he can at least get Cup of France/Skate France, or whatever it is called now. I think he could really do well with judges and audiences alike. We have seen him land both 4Ts and 4Ss in practice... I think he only has to have one in the short to meet France's requirements for worlds. Sadly they only have one spot next year. So he will have to have a really good season.

And yes he and Mariah are adorable. He posted a very cute clip of he and Mariah doing side by side jumps as well recently. I kinda hope someone in France is a sap and thinks giving Mariah an invite to GP France along with Romain.

Also... looks like Cecily Morrow arrives officially in June.

Oh dear, somebody pointed out how much Mariah looks like Rey from Star Wars (Daisy Ridley) and now I can't unsee it!

Rohene wins the US Professional Open, with, wait for it, a Prince routine

How many times have you heard someone ask what is Prince doing in the KnC with Kori and Jason? or Mariah?

    Woot for Jordan

No idea who the partner is. Maybe he should try dance, and Rohene choreo a hiphop program?

It looks like Tiffany Dombeck, one of the 7K coaches:

Huh, it's been so boring lately I've resorted to watching ballet and listening to opera! I suppose I could go update the Jason thread but he's been pretty quiet lately... Hopefully he'll be at Broadmoor Open and we'll get some clips or something.

I believe it is confirmed he is skating in the Open, but confirmed on the jump event.

He has been quiet since he (presumably) got back from from his vacation, but he is likely buckling down to business as it is not much time before the open.

I want to hear more form other skaters too in terms of new programs too! I always love seeing what Rohene comes up with. And I hope Jordan can make a comeback this season, he really is a lovely skater and I hope we get to see more of him.

Jordan posted a clip of him doing a 3T today

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BHkilEWBNRF/

Glad to see things are going well.

    And for some fluff.

Mariah and Romain posted some clips of their trip for the 4th of July.

Not only is it cute, it gives me an excuse to mention that Glenwood Springs is absolutely awesome! If you are ever passing through Colorado, it is a great place to stop for the night, or if you are in the area and want to spend a couple days in a small town/mountain area it if perfect. It is about an hour form Aspen but much more affordable.

It is know for its natural hot springs (as the name would suggest). It has what is i believe largest hot springs swimming pool in the world - larger than Olympic size which is open year round (key word being hot springs - it is basically a swimming pool Jacuzzi with fewer bubbles) and steams up beautifully in the winter. They also have steam caves you can visit if that is more your thing. It always makes me happy seeing others enjoying it. Glad they got to go. I actually have never been to the adventure part in their posts.

Edited correct Romain clip per el henry
