I'm really glad I finally got to see this event. I have not been a huge fan of the Eteri school up to now but was really impressed by Alena in particular. I love her transitions, especially in and out of jumps - she skates with a maturity and class that belies her 14 years and junior status. I am very excited to see what the future will bring for her. I remember feeling like this when I first saw Elena four or five years ago for the first time. Will Evgenia really want to continue past Olympics if she wins and has this talented bunch of youngsters snapping at her heels?! And I can't believe that a skater with a near perfect 3A-3T wasn't even on the podium! Scary but wonderful stuff and bodes really well for the discipline of ladies skating in the next few years, provided the artistry also develops with age.
