"Freestyle" Ice Skating

I have not seen this discussed before (I'm a new member but I've been reading this board for years) so I thought I would throw it out there: Has anyone here heard of/seen/tried freestyle ice skating? A lot of the moves are way more dangerous than I would ever personally attempt (the aerials and gymnastics moves, jumping off ramps, jumping over people, jumping over fire....), but it would be incredibly entertaining to see in a show, or as entertainment between periods in hockey games. Maybe in competition, alongside events like snowboarding? It does have that "X-Games" kind of feel. Also interesting that most of them are wearing hockey skates. It's like a combination of figure skating, gymnastics, break dance, snowboarding/skateboarding. Pretty cool, I think.
