guns don't kill people, people kill people

besides taking guns away from people here in Alaska could be a very bad thing... we have to survive somehow and if we don't have jobs we have to hunt...

Kerry is not worth my time... he can't stay on one side of an issue long enough for me to find him able to run the country...besides he's against econ. development in Alaska and is totally against ANWR(at least this week  ) so why should I vote for someone who is BAD for my state?

It's strange but it seems celebrity deaths always go in threes and this is no exception. First Rodney Daingerfield and Janet Leigh and now Christopher Reeve.

Very sad. Everyone wanted him to live forever and walking. I hope this doesn't hurt the stem cell cause.

Joe:

Our very own Michael J. fox is also involved in stem cell research. Also, Rick Hansen- "The Man in Motion" tour from British Columbia, is very involved in spinal cord research. He too suffered a horrific accident which left him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. He spoke of Christopher Reeve in a very emotional statement after hearing the sad news. They were acquainteces as they met at a fund raiser.

I don't think either Michael or Rick will let Christophers' work be in vain.

Ladskater - Of course there are others interested in the research., which is a good thing. Michael and Rick are great ambassadors to that cause. Unfortunately, some religious communities are against it, and Bush caters to those communities.

Toni, all I said was that Kerrey made a very logical statement about stem cell research, nothing more, nothing less. I appreciated his answer.

I will vote for the person who is good for many states, not just mine. Not being a perfect person, I guess one could say, I'm kind of wishy washy too.

Janet Leigh's death might also have been prevented if Bush hadn't slowed down stem cell research. His pro-life stance seems not to apply to those already living.
