Volunteering at events

If everything goes as it should, I'll be volunteering at Worlds this year.
I have never done it before, so I'd love to hear other people's experiences!

And is someone on the forum volunteering in Milano as well?

I volunteered in Boston for 2016 Worlds. I had a blast! I was playing music for practice sessions. It was really interesting for me since I had never watched practice before. I found all the other volunteers to be really nice. A lot of them clearly volunteered a lot. Nice chatting with them and I learned a bunch of tidbits about a lot of different things: the elite skaters, the volunteering, and some advice from other skating mom's.
