Yoshie Onda withdrew due to injury. Wow, EVERYONE is getting injured, when alternates need alternates lol

I hope that everyone that is injured rests up and gets well soon! Do you really think these are all injuries? Or might some people just want out of the event, thinking it's not worth their time and effort?

I think there are injuries and then there are injuries. Every athlete is stiff and sore most of the time. But if the event is important enough, they find a way to force their body through it. Evgeny Plushenko has had a bum knee for two years, but he kept putting off surgery in order, so it seems to me, to make hay while the sun shines.

Now that the Olympics are approaching, I think he feels that his best shot is to cut down on his schedule and try to rest his body as much as possible. Still, he's doing Cup of Russia, Marshalls, and presumably Russian nationals, Europeans and Worlds.
