I was browsing through the biographies and found this one. Since when do the ice dancers compete alone?

I wonder if she's looking for a partner?

Hehe it took a little bit of searching to figure this out, but Jinlin Guan is actually a singles skater. He placed 4th in Harbin.

I attended a Regionals a few yrs. ago & there were girls competing in a singles dance competition. There were more entered in that category than actual couples competing in the regular dance format.

I don't know why I assume he was a she, but I think I just got used to seeing the ladies name listed first under dance and assumed from there. Poor guy.

I think solo-dancing would make an interesting addition to skating disciplines.
I dance alone in my living room all the time, so why can't men and ladies alike dance on the ice...in exhibitions, shows and competitions. I think it would be lovely to see just how beautiful skating can be without the jumps as a singles event.
