It seems traveling to ISS is now statistically safer than driving a car. :)

By the way, I'm a dedicated fan of Kerbal Space Program and a proud author of two Wikipedia articles - Gravity drag and Gravity turn. :)

Ha! A rocket scientist! I dropped out of Aeronautical Engineering cause I couldnt handle differential equations and Orthogonal functions. Best thing that ever happened to me. ;) Space flight in general is statistically safer per mile than driving a car for sure. And maybe per launch.....Statistics are interesting things. You can proove just about anything depending on how you cut the pie. About 536 people have been into space. Not sure how many have died in R and D and in actual flights.
The Russian escape system is interesting and works.

I only dropped out of the Kerbal Space Center. :)

Statistics are interesting things. You can proove just about anything depending on how you cut the pie.

That's why I'm so arbitrarily using the word 'statistically'. :biggrin:
