Haven't been following the domestic competitions so far this season, but it is like this for Nationals every year. And every year I get so frustrated that I can't provide an official entry list to those playing the Predictions Game. It's not so much the withdrawals, because they get taken out of the Predictions anyway. But it is the replacements that are coming in that cause me worries. Because when it comes to Russia, the depth of talent is such that even they can be significant. :drama:

As for Kolyada, he is not wise if he turns up.

I tend to agree...Sinuses infections are super difficult to deal with and if not cured properly, they are getting back to bite you in the behind...I experienced this two years ago: I fell ill just after Christmas, was SICK AS DOG (or worse) in New Year's Eve day, it was like my bones and head turned into jelly in 2-3 hrs being at work, just poooof. I was sick for about a week and a half in January, but it was back a month after as I thought I cured it completely...No, it went back way worse.

So sorry to hear that you went through all that.

It is so difficult to know when you are healthy enough to go back to your normal routine. He might feel like he's better, but he mightn't actually be. And as you found, if you go back too soon, it can flare up again.

I just hope Misha and his team have the sense to realise that, and don't try to rush his recovery so that he can compete here.

Health is more important than results.
