1. WTT - Liza made my week with her SP and FP and I love all the silliness!
2. Euros - Because Sofia winning was epiiiiic!
3. Worlds - Zhenya's fight back and Li'l Bet's quad were amazing!
1. Challenge Cup for being an awesome, extremely laid-back event where one can even talk to skaters! Loads of fun!
2. European Championships
3. GP Finland both chosen for the big audience participation and the support all skaters got
4. Japan Nationals always fun to watch, audience always very excited, love watching its videos
5. Junior GP circuit, all streamed competitions. (sorry, probably not allowed to lump them together, but I cannot choose just one) Saw it for the 1st time, loved the commentary and coverages. Long live Ted Barton! This is how you make FS popular.
1. Four Continents - I adore all the champions, so pleased for C/B having a super comeback
2. Skate Canada - all the podiums! Plus Mako's GP debut and Wakaba's Energia
3. NHK - Rikas's Beautiful Storm, great gala, macarons and winner crowns
4. Japan Open - YMCA!
5. Winter Universiade - Mai getting the gold and PCS she deserves, Zahra making history
1) Four Continents -- very happy for Shoma's gold medal and really loved having Sui and Han back
2) Skate Canada -- loved the men's and ladies podiums; enjoyed seeing Mako live for the first time
3) WTT -- fun to see the skaters relax and let their hair down now that the "real" competitions are over; loved that Sui and Han were the guest skaters
The world championship was epic. But my vote for Russnats. All 18 participants could claim success if it were not for corruption in all its glory. Lovely young podium.
1) Worlds
2) Russian Nationals
3) Europeans
4) 4 CC
5) Junior Grand Prix final
6) Junior worlds
To be honest this year I’ve been a bit dissappinted in the general skating in the Grand Prix series (year after Olympics usually like this). There have been some amazing skaters, but quite a few were either boring or made tonnes of mistakes.
I have a feeling that this upcoming Grand Prix series will be the best yet though!
