I assume you mean Bennet Toman.

I'd love to see Nam's long, if anyone can post it.

Really like Keegan's LP. He's never going to be a balletic skater doing Rachmaninoff, so I really appreciate that he chose music that suits his style of skating. It really showed off his beautiful knees and deep, deep edges that give him speed that's up there with the best in the world. Conditioning was clearly a factor. He looked like he wanted to die at the end of the program, lol. The spins were gorgeous, as always. He looked off balance on a lot of the jumps, but didn't let them get away from him. Good for him. Love the entry into, and that first combination sit spin. Love the hydroblade move, love the spread eagle. This is a good program. Excited to see it as the season progresses.

She came 2nd in juniors at Canadians last year. She's on the next gen team. If she continues to skate well, then maybe she'll get an international assignment, even if it's not a jgp.

I think it's possibly the strength needed in the glutes and thighs and quads to get all the the way down and back up - also the strength it takes in the knees (maybe one of the reasons why Keegan's so good at it). If it leaves your muscles burning and like spaghetti, you're going to try to cheat the sit.

Thanks Siberia82 for the links! Just watched Nam's long, and while of course the jumps weren't there today, I like this program, too. The choreo is perhaps still a little too open for my liking, particularly in the beginning, when he's setting up for so many jumping passes, but I think there's a lot to like here. Love the music, so that helps. Stamina, like with Keegan, was clearly an issue. But overall, I think he has two really good vehicles this season.

Slots are assigned but the country can change their skaters. Entries are provisional.
She's not on the substitute list for any of the 4 events named so far. I'm aware that countries can change their spots, but Canada doesn't generally do so as much as some countries like Russia (except of course when someone is injured). And these assignments have been announced by Skate Canada, not just the JGP entry lists (i.e. they are not just placeholders). I'm doubtful that she'll get a spot. A junior B assignment is more likely.

The last three spots right now are going to Alison, Kaiya (2nd spots) and Amelia Orzel. I don't think she'll get Alison or Kaiya's. They could swap her for Amelia possibly.

I wished that SC actually just threw all the next gen lists ( and later anybody else who impressed during the summer ) as subs for all events . The sad thing is that SC has for some events named only 1 sub on ISU site. Countries are allowed to list an unlimited number of subs. Countries who do this get the flexibility to change easily. I have seen countries list 6 or more subs for 1 single assignment

At this point, I feel that would be hard to justify. Amelia has won her flights here and in Minto. Minto was a direct head to head between the two, with Madeline coming in third.

That's my feeling as well. I hope they send her and Catherine Carle out to a junior B.

OK, I am completely lost: I see in the results section of the website the protocols for each segment (and I am looking at junior dance in particular).

    Where are the overall results?

Middle of the page, above the protocols/short/long for each section etc. click on RESULTS (all caps).

    So do I!

I'd guess that Kim Nguyen in Novice group 1 is Nam's sister. She came 7th, seemed to have issues with her spins in her free program. I don't recall having seen her compete last year - I could have just missed it -but it was nice to see her name pop up.

This is our second time at the competition - as a spectator, its such good value for money because you get to see some of the top skaters for $5 entry fee per day. I really enjoyed the Jr and Senior Pairs even though the field was very limited. I also saw in Pre-Novice men one of Brian Orser's new prodigies - Grayson Long. I think he is going to rise through the ranks very quickly. Meagan Duhamel was there in her coaching capacity with full bump on display as well

Thank you so much for this info. I wondered if Roman was sick or injured.
