    Revisiting 2007 Worlds...Videos

I have been revisiting 2007 Worlds and getting rid of some old videotapes. This seems to be a particularly hard Worlds to find performances from so many well known skaters. For archivists and historians I am sharing my links in competition order.
    Enjoy while they last!

What I remember about this event was that it was a free-for-all in scoring. In ladies' Yuna Kim won the short program, Mao Asada won the free skate, and Miki Ando won overall with two second places.

In men's Brian Joubert finished third in the free skate behind Takahashi and Lambiel, but his big lead over them from the short held up.

It was a weird event, I was archiving it and thought I'd share my links so others could enjoy.

If anyone has any of the missing skates, I'd love to see them.

What's even more wild is that Daisuke Takahashi will be skating ice dance this season.

So many favorites and so hard to find in one place - one of the reasons I wanted to share the links as a unit. I have a few more vcr copies, but do not have a YouTube channel nor the expertise to share them.

At the moment of Miki Ando won title, local TV rating exceeded 50%.
It was one of best moment of whole Japanese figure skating history.

Great, exciting event with so many ups and downs!

There's a great photo of the men's FS final group from this event that I love:

    https://66.media.tumblr.com/1bb088ce...o2_r1_1280.jpg

Capturing an all-star lineup in their "zone" right before the big battle.

The moment Ando realizes she won is one of the best moments of the sport ever, I always laugh AND cry when I see it.

It's a shame I can't find many of the Canadians - Emanuel Sandhu, Chris Mabee, Joannie Rochette, Valerie Marcoux & Craig Buntin. What's up Canada?
