+1 on Lipnitskaya Elvis SP.

I'd like to also add Julian Yee Zhi-Jie SP 2018-19 season. I mean, come on.
(also his gala is good ^^)

Also Astakhova / Rogonov "shatter me" FS

Javier Fernandez's Charlie Chaplin programs don't get enough appreciation IMO of how really good he is at the sort of light comedy that a lot of skaters try and (not being actors) tend to be a bit thuddingly ungood at. As actors will tell you, comedy is hard and the light sort even harder, but Javi has a real gift for it.

So true. Javier is actually a very artistic and a VERY gifted performer IMO :)

I'd add Mariah Bell's "Experience" FS from this past seasoon - I just LOVED the program and her doing it.

If this had been delivered at a World Championships or Olympics, without a doubt it would be considered one of the greatest performances in figure skating history. Unfortunately, it happened at some random throwaway competition, and her legacy would become one of never living up to her competitive potential. It's always the same story...such a frustratingly immense talent.

Gilles and Poirier’s 2015-2016 free dance. The music was a compilation of a few different folk songs, none of which I can remember by name at the moment. This was back when G/P were frequently accused of “trying too hard to be quirky and different.” Groan. Meanwhile, I had my fangirling turned up to eleven for that program:

Right from the first time I saw that at the Ondrej Nepela trophy, I loved that program. So original and clever, and they always look great!

And although their 'Vincent' program from last season is not my personal favourite, it was shamefully passed over in favour of other less-deserving free dances. Such a masterpiece as that deserved second place after the French.

Mao Asada’s Bells of Moscow. At the time, many did not like this choice; however, I feel that over time this program has “aged well” and become one of her iconic programs.

Absolutely my favorite of her programs.

Yuna Kim's Giselle and Die Fledermaus. Unfortunately she kever skated either of them cleanly (she only did Giselle once), but I really think they show a different side of her that I really like

Bestmaniova/Bukin carmen
Tessa/scott valse trise
Jeffrey Buttle ararat

All incredible programs that often get overlooked or not enough praise imo.

Well, they are one of the aforementioned skaters' representative programs in my opinion. Especially B/B's Carmen has been mentioned as one of the great Carmen programs in the whole disciplines along with Witt's, Stolbova/Klimov's, K/O's and V/M's. For me, it is the best Carmen for pair disciplines. They captured it with passion and fear for death led by their fatal attraction.

Buttle won his first and only World title with the Ararat, a very unique music for programs in figure skating. That's why it has not popped up as everybody's immediate favorite, but it surely has been quite a lot mentioned as a program associated with iconic programs of skaters, regions or cultural bindings.

For the Valse Trise, well I rather think Rakhamo/Kokko's soulful Valse Trise has been underappreciated or forgotten unlike the early senior program of V/M. V/M earned their first World medal with it and has been somewhat related to their Mahler in the context of a young couple's pure love, so I have to disagree with your assessment on the three programs. Though I like you starting the page with a nice new subject during the off season. :)

Sorry, you know I have to say it... Yuzuru's less than loved triple crown Romeo & Juliet 2 (but I still have a soft spot for the bejewelled underdog that it is)

Wakaba Higuchi 18-19 SP - Early in the season i was confused by this program, but when she showed it clean at Skate Canada, and Japanese Nationals i loved it. It was modern and different, shame judges didn't like it as much.

Deniss Vasiljevs 17-18 SP - Maybe my favourite program from the Men last season, it's the kind of program you'd see from an Olympic Champion with all the highlights of Recondita Armonia perfectly acknowledged by the choreography and the ending is perfection.

Michal Brezina 18-19 FS, I don't see people talking about this program enough, it was great fun especially at Worlds.

Boikova / Kozlovskii 18-19 FS, Nutcracker, it's not a new theme in figure skating, classical but it suits them perfectly, the program is well constructed building up with the crescendo of the music, and they are probably my favourite pair (better than Tarasov/Morozov, Zabiiako/Enbert and James/Cipres, don't @ at me), their elements are huge, they have a great personality on the ice.

Joshua Farris's 2016 SP and LP.

They were well appreciated at the time, but since he had to essentially retire so early, it feels like he has been forgotten.

thirded on Wakaba's SP. I thought it was sooooo good, so modern and different from everything else and I love how much she seems to love performing it? The step sequence at the end is my fave <3
