There are some elements in the figure skating that are done simply beautiful by the skaters and the people love to watch them.
Here are my favourite elements in particular order :

layback spin
illusion spin
the double axel
flying camel
3/3 combination
the russian split jump
all kinds of spirals(the skaters should add more variety in the
spiral positions)
spread eagles
ina bauer(especially done by Shizuka Arakawa  )

And what are your favourite elements?

Russian Split Jumps (Todd's in particular)
Ina Bauers
Spread Eagles (especially Brian B. & Paul Wylie's)
Barrel Rolls
Spirals (I'd like to see more of the men do them)
Backflips (in exhibition)
Triple Axels
Flying Camel, scratch spins, sit spins ...
the "leap of faith" move that Elena & Anton do
Ilia's "cantilever" move

There are lots of elements that I love but here are my top 5:

1) properly executed layback spins
2) outside spread eagles WITHOUT the knees bent and the butt sticking out
3) Well-done COE spirals (Kwan and Kostner come to mind, none of the wobble-bobble that Cohen gets)
4) Split jumps
5) fast footwork with nice deep edges and lots of variety, not that freaking Yagudin-wannabe toe-picky crap (which was cool when Yags did it but not so cool when everyone and their brother started using it)

Nice spread eagles (including the straight one by Kurt Browning), well executed jumps and spins... well, rather anything the skater is able to make look genuine and not copied.

And then - all the things a skater invents. If it suits him/her AND the music. Like this kind of dropping into a weird spread eagle by Jeff this year. Why o why do most of the skaters only what everybody else is doing......

I especially like these when performed by Ilia Kulik:

triple axel out of spread eagle
triple toe out of cantilever
Arabian cartwheel
Russian splits
footwork (fortunately he does not do any of that awful toe-picking stuff that only looked good in Riverdance by Bourne&Kraatz)

-Ina Bauer
-interesting spin positions - Lucinda Rue and Johnny come to mind
-Pairs moves that are allowed only in exhibition, I guess they are called Adagio?
-Phillipe's spin on his knees (is there a name?)
-I&Z candle lift

A really well done layback

& a really well done falling leaf. Still remember kwan at 02 nationals, end of program--she did 2 in a row, & on the second one she lifted her face to the ceiling & seemed to just hang there-- that one still makes me cry.......

- russian split (people need to start doing those again)
- spread eagles (especially inside spread eagles), heck, all of Jeff Buttle's field moves
- Kurt Browning's camel spin with the kick *** extension and the bent skating knee. That was gorgeous.

Michelle's falling leaf and her Charlotte, even though Sasha gets a complete 180 on hers, I don't like it as much.

Paul Martini and Barb Underhill did the best leap of faith.

- Spread eagle and ina baurer (it's so incredibly graceful - and looks good by anyone.)
- Salcow
- The thing that Ilia Kulik did at a show where he was bent at the knees (what's that called?)
- a (sort of) camel spin where the skater is either turns their body sideways or up (like the one Yu-Na Kim did in her LP)
- Layback spin when it's done properly

In no particular order:

Death drops (if they are done just so)
Flying sit spins
Spread eagles
Ina Bauers
Layback spins
Russian split jumps
Barrel Rolls
Arabians
Back shoot-the-duck
Butterflies
Fast, intricate, and varied footwork (As done by Browning and the better ice dance pairs)
One-leg jumps; nobody seems to doe these anymore or the Toeless Lutz for that matter

I don’t know about anyone else out there, but I always enjoyed watching skaters trace figures.
