Although I think it's important to highlight that it was due to the fact that one of their coaches has flu symptoms so the whole team is self isolating - the two teams could well be healthy we just don't know.Stepanova/Bukin and Shevchenko/Eremento withdrew from the 4th stage of the cup due to illness

thank you for the update .. they have there spot secure so I think they made a good decision ... who will be second and third? I think K/B and M/B have a good shot

Surely the Russian Fed are wise enough to know that they won't get 3 Olympic spots if they don't send S/K and S/B to Worlds? With this wd S/B have no route to Nationals according to the rules put in place. And I wouldn't be shocked if S/K wd too.

Every single Chinese dance team had not just a season best but a CAREER best at their recent in-house GP event. I'll be curious to see if the Russians can match that level of home cookery at their upcoming GP event.
They'll have to be somehow decent as their two best teams won't be there.

Which is a shame. Have any of the listed teams actually withdrawn? I don't have the chance to keep 'up to the moment' with developments these days.
