2021 Asian Open: General Info

The 2021 Asian Open is the fourth in a series of nine events of the 2021-22 Figure Skating Challenger Series. It is also a test event for the 2022 Olympics and is scheduled to take place in Beijing, China, October 13-17, 2021.

The Challenger Series was established by the International Skating Union (ISU) during the 2014–15 season and the events consist of a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. The series allows skaters to gain World Standing Points and is also a chance for officials to officiate at an international level.

Now I see why the Pairs and Dance are not part of the Predictions Contest. The exodus has aftected those categories so much that there are not enough entries to make it viable for us to predict on.

Well, at least it will mean that I will be able to watch all the skating before dinner time. And then do other things in the afternoon.

That is assuming that there are streams that we can watch without worrying about viruses.
