Loved that Michael Jackson medley from Sofiya LUKINSKAYA / Danil PAK (KAZ).

They looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. And so were we! And judging by the cheers, so were the audience!

And I had to smile at Danil when they were waiting for the results.

Given who this event is in memory of, it is good to see another skater from Kazakhstan's Korean community entertaining us.

I am so sorry to Taisia LINCHEVSKAYA / Timur BABAEV-SMIRNOV (RUS) Because, although I was watching, I didn't see them.

Their music has become like "Tango Amore" for me. Every time I hear "Tango Amore", no matter who is skating, I see Plushenko. And every time I hear "Don Quixote", no matter who is skating, I see Zagitova.

Hey, when it came to the change of pace, I was expecting them to start jumping all over the place!

Anyway, they slotted into 2nd in the Free. But they (just about!) held onto the lead overall.

Sorry, I got a bit behind because I remembered something I had forgotten to do earlier.

Awwww. After the scores for Vasilisa KAGANOVSKAYA / Valeriy ANGELOPOL were announced, they were all happy celebrating their win. Then suddenly "Happy Birthday To You" started playing, and the announcer came back and announced that it was Valeriy's birthday!

Vasilisa started cheering and clapping, while Anjelika just looked embarrassed. You could tell Valeriy wasn't expecting this. He put up his hands in acknowledgement, and then pulled down his mask, because he was getting emotional at this.

And then she added that it was also Sofiya LUKINSKAYA's birthday! (It's a wonder that wasn't announced when she and Danil were getting their results).

So, happy birthday to both of them!
