For a challenger there must be at least 5 nations represented. Here there are just four. And a funny thing that almost all teams except Holichenko / Darensky train in Russia.
Hungarian federation again brings their two teams at the same competition.

The Denis Ten Memorial is about to start, with one of the biggest Pairs fields of the season so far. Yet, it doesn't have Challenger status.

It is now. (Actually relieved that it didn't come on air until nearer the start time, because I was running slightly behind in what I was doing. But, I got it finished).

Impressive looking arena. Is there anybody in it?!

So if it had been designed as such from the start, it would have kept the status.

The first group is completely Russian partnerships. And we start off with some Muse from a partnership that we saw in the Junior GP's.

Very impressed with the steam. That is the best picture quality I think I've ever seen for a figure skating competition. It's so clear that it is as if you are there!

And the graphics are very clear and informative. The TES Box looks the same as the one we had at a competition a couple of weeks ago, but not quite as massive.

I remember thinking that the first edition of this event was very well run. Well, it looks like they have built on that.

Techno Bolero from the second partnership. The skating was good, but didn't like the music. You don't mess about with a piece as iconic as "Bolero".

There's no point. It's the stream itself. I'm just watching normally, and it is not working for me. And I just translated a few of the comments on the chat, and they too are complaining that the stream has stopped working.

As one of them said, "It all started out so well!"

It may be significant to note that there is no live scoring working. Of course, they may not have planned to have live scoring. But, given how professionally everything else is being done, I suspect that they were planning to.

So, maybe they are having more widespread technical difficulties that are not just restricted to the stream.

It´s the same as when the JGP had stream issues earlier. If you reload the page it keep playing the same thing over and over again. Hope they are able to solve the issue before the ladies SP, I really want to see that!

Well, I went away and made my bed, and when I came back, the picture was still frozen, but on a different picture. It is now frozen on the resurfacing.

Well, I'm going to have my dinner now. I'll pop in again for the start of the Ladies, and if it is working, then all well and good. And if not, there's plenty of other things I can do (e.g. making out my predictions for Skate Canada).
