So I think my predictions came true??
exactly, add that i don't like lyrical stuff...Amen! If they tried other styles .. but the same style always (which they already master) transforms them in boring
Fauré is an inspired choice IMO. Rich interiority is their thing. I even wish they'd chosen something more subtle from his body of works. Don't know whose version of the piece they are using. Dupré's is markedly more emotional than others. It's beautiful, obviously. But I wish they had chosen something more dramatic for the Olympics. Standing ovation music.
Now that you mentioned it, no frozen screen for me today...of course the last day!Stream death?!! Did everyone else lose Lilah & Lewis?
But it's not about lyrical or non-lyrical (if that's even a thing). It's about taking the music as the ground under you and dance/skate away. P/C has always had the most musically coherent/integral programs. I would think that's a step forward for the sport compared to a concept-driven program or a program that seeks to "wow" or representational in the conventional sense (animal or human characters).exactly, add that i don't like lyrical stuff...
yeah, they dont get it, for them there is only lyrical and non lyrical stuff. It is not so simpleBut it's not about lyrical or non-lyrical (if that's even a thing). I agree that they've moved the sport forward - they have the best dance quality of any ID team I've watched, and it's a godsend. But I think the FD doesn't work yet.But it's not about lyrical or non-lyrical (if that's even a thing). It's about taking the music as the ground under you and dance/skate away. P/C?There are still a couple teams we haven’t seen—Stepanova/Bukin, Hawayek/Baker—but we’ve seen most of them now and by pick for clear and away the best set of programs this season will surprise absolutely no one here. But I shall not name them lest I offend my friends Ichat and Elektra with my level of enthusiasm
No—sorry Skatesocs, you are late to the party Ichat and Elektra are always teasing me about my enthusiasm for a certain set of programs we saw earlier this seasonP/C?
Agree they are both so gorgeous. Madi is def best dressed - her working with Mathieu Caron on costumes, since they moved to Montreal, has served up some of the prettiest ice dance dresses everI'll be shallow with you... I agree but also think Sasha Stepanova is right up there with Madi. Madi has better dresses though.
Yeah, I haven’t loved a free dance of theirs this much since Home. It is absolutely gorgeous and feels really true to them. They look confident too which is great to see.Gorgeous, best FD they’ve had all quad. Should rightfully run away with the lead.
i know, right, but i'm not that sophisticated, actually i'm quite uneducated and simple almost shallow what can i do? i realise how great they are, they deserve what they get, but they're just not my cuppaBut it's not about lyrical or non-lyrical (if that's even a thing).
