Looking at the time and practice schedule, I won't be watching this competition. Every day, it starts at a time when I am either sound asleep or preparing to go to bed, and it ends mostly when I would just be getting up.
With packed Russian fields (5 men, women and dance and 4 pairs) there is zero suspense as to the medalists, so not worth messing with my sleep cycle.

I am surprised that Kaganovskaya and Angelopol are in S list, not main group. I still think Malinin will win, but I am happy to see Anisimov and Kovalev so soon!

Why Frolova and Kondratiuk haven't spot?

They move up to senior finally?
I think it’s more likely to have to do with who can get what visa where for the later stages. They are probably running with headaches there 24/7

No Japanese skaters though... I wonder why? :scratch2:
The Japanese fed said they would not participate in the first 4 events. They're better off waiting for SLO, POL and AUT anyway, as there will be no more than 2 Russian men and women at those events. SVK and RUS are surely not a 'level playing field'.

The entries for Slovenia are already out, with no Japanese juniors entered.

After Levito I wouldn't assume there isn't anyone able to challenge Russian girls as well.. ;)
Yep, there is Mia Kalin has a 4T (and 4S she hasn't tried it in comps yet) and she is quite consistent with 4T now. Varvara Kisel who trans with Buyanova has a 4T and 3A tho she couldn't land the 4T last season and 3A was very unstable. Anastasia Shabotova who trains under Panova has a 3A and it looks very stable from the ig stories they have posted. So yeah there is a challenge for the Russian girls and lets look at the moscow championships as an example we saw there that quads were not ready for everyone just yet and ice is slippery.

Interesting. I've never seen Mia Kalin but I'm looking forward to see if someone can actually put Russian girls under some pressure. ;) But Shabotova has been quite a disappointment since she changed countries, we will see, I'd be glad if she returned to the previous form, if she's able to land 3A, it could get interesting..
