So Camille Mendoza and Pavel Kovalev of France married. God I hope it helps their skating! They've been together for at least 4 years but skated so badly they got only local competitons. So I pray for a miracle the marriage with at least slightly improve skating skills!

From afar it looks like their 'cut-out' backs were heart-shaped, but I don't think they were. Anyway, loved the performance.

As always with these two, I wish they would do something to keep me awake. Music-wise, theme-wise, costume-wise, or all of those, ideally. They have too much ability (and off-ice personality) to be so blah. JMHO.

Pleased to see Nicole and Matteo go clean after all the troubles they had last season and with a much better score than all of last season, barring one early domestic event. Hopefully they can go clean in the FS, to build their confidence back up and have a good start to the season!
