So, random question - what makes Mana's PCS (even when she lands her 3A) so much lower than those of some of the other 3A new senior girls, even when the latter girls don't land their 3As? Asking for a friend.

So sorry for Daria, I started watching after the second group warm-up so at the beginning I didn't know something bad had happened to her 😞 I hope she gets well soon!
Kaori was a joy to watch! I love her on the ice and I love her off the ice, she always seems so sweet.
Now I'm off to catch up on Mana Kawabe short program!

🇯🇵 #KaoriSakamoto #NHKTrophy SP (76.56) "I was actually very calm. For today in the 6 min warm-up I was nervous and didn't feel well-grounded, but was able to get my jumps back. I was able to bring everything so I'm just really relieved. Tomorrow I want to skate clean again and I will stay focused until the very end."

🇯🇵 #KaoriSakamoto #NHKTrophy SP: She's really focusing on improving her 3F. She feels she needs to improve her quality across the board and is relieved not to be doing the 3A. It's the first time she's skated a clean program since Beijing.

1. earlier skating group (it matters...for some)
2. new to the senior level (this should also matter, except for some)

Kaori skated great tonight, but shouldn't be ahead of Kawabe. PCS and GOE could have brought her even, not well ahead.
I can see Mana being neck-to-neck or even ahead if *gestures to my earlier question about PCS*, but since, well, she didn't quite make it for the senior debut PCS rocket...

Wasn't Daria's unfortunate injury already something to be thankful for detractors. Some people can't seem to be satisfied even when there handed a gift like tonight.

I think it applies more to Liu, certainly not to Matsuike. How is Rino behind so many sloppy performances?

Not sure why you assumed cohkaix or myself were attacking Daria when I made it clear my questions were for ladies with 3As, and the relative PCS gap would still have been an issue regardless of whether or not Daria skated? Also "handed a gift"... handed how? Are you suggesting Daria would be a lock for the lead for sure had she been able to participate? :palmf: Ice is slippery, Daria is talented for sure but so are a lot of the other ladies here, many with higher BVs.

With all that said, I wish Daria a speedy recovery. She's definitely my favorite after Kamila for the new Eteri girls and that looked like it hurt.

Obviously, Rino was affected by her minor injury: during the summer competition and the regional competition earlier in the season she was capable of putting the combination jump in the 2nd half, but not today.

True, but the judges were very harsh on her. You can make a good argument she should be third in this sloppy competition.

Was unable to watch after Dasha's injury. Seeing the results it seems the whole second group was very unfortunate and only Kaori was able to deliver at her standard today. :(

Her wrong passport maybe? :frown:
