My nephew who performs as a drag artist just texted me that he is developing a new character named Margarita Colada inspired by Loena's short program.

I just have to say I thought it was cute that Loena turned and greeted the sweeper and thanked her.

The first half of the program seems choreographically empty/awkward, but the second half was absolute fire.

Not my favourite program but that sure was fun. Wonder if this manages to hit 70 with ease.

With only one 70+ score, I feel strangely transported back to early 2010s.

Today was a great improvement to last week regardless.

Now I will got to Latvia for a moment to see how Finnish ladies do, as there is four of them.

Loena in neon makes me smile. Her rippon flip and combination were particularly good, I thought, and her spins were on point, even if the layback travelled a bit at the end. The spread eagle transition into the 2A was neat as well. I like the slide with the kick in her step sequence, though I thought for a moment she'd lost her balance. Watching her once she came more alive in presentation after the jumps were done made me think, with regret, how we were robbed last season of a showdown between Loena and Liza Tuktamysheva's free programmes - they have the same kind of confidence and sparkle.

If what the commentator said is true, Thank God that Loena reconsidered the Free program from earlier in the season. It was lacklustre to say the least. Can't wait to see the new program.

I never do great with women predictions ( 2 out of 5 so far), I’m too invested in some skaters I want them to do great, but rarely happens!
Let’s move over to the dance, where the predictions are almost always on point!

Well, predictions are are sure interesting this season, but I wish I had been right at least once… lol.

Skate America did not include the French skaters. I guess this balances the books.
