Overall, the Men were messier in this competition compared to Nationals. Understandably, lots of tired looking guys

Video of Top 7 Men (may upload more later)
Sota Yamamoto
Tatsuya Tsuboi
Sena Miyake
Lucas Tsuyoshi Honda
Kosho Oshima (included his post skate hamming for the camera. Thought more guys would take the opportunity to promote their school)
Mitsuki Sumoto
Takumi Sugiyama

Yuto Kishina
Yuto is still recovering from injury and unable to jump the Flip and Lutz.
Though he placed 11th, I wanted to share his FS since he was unable to perform it at Nationals (did not qualify)
Regardless of the jumps, I'm a huge fan of his skating, enjoy this program and love this costume (actually loved last seasons Free costume too)
Yuto Kishina+Ernest Martinez collaborations ❤️

Thanks for putting up a thread for this!

I'm looking forward to women's 7-8 level. The entry looks quite good. I think Kaori and Mai will be there for sure (moving from Nagoya-fes. over to Hokkaido). And from the interview after the Nagoya-fes, Kaori said this will be her last competition before Olympics, since she won't get to 4CC this year.

Shii-chan and Yuna 😭
Wishing the girls a quick and full recovery (Yukino too!)
I was so looking forward to seeing Shiika perform since she didn't qualify for Nationals this season...😞

Yeah, entries in the Women's 7, 8 event is why I decided to post this thread.
Even with U.S. and Canadian Nationals happening I thought some people might be interested.
Poor Kaori, Yuhana and Marin will likely be a bit tired from the short turnaround.
I forgot Sota and Tatsuya participated in Nagoya Fes too.
(I still have to watch the 2nd half before the archived video is taken down 😬)

Women's Level 7, 8 Warm up Group 1

Missed most of Akari Matsubara's jumps

Saki Miyake
3F 3Lz 3Lo 3T1ASEQ 1Lo2T 3T2T2Lo 3S

Rinka Watanabe
3A(fall) 3LzEu3S(fall) 3Lo 3Lo2T 2A3T 3F(so)
Not as clean as her skate at Nationals but still an exciting performance to watch
(btw, brilliant choice for Jr Worlds! Hope she performs her best there)

Kaori Sakamoto last to skate in Warm up Group 2

Kaori Sakamoto
2A 3Lz 3F2T(tano) 3S 3F3T 2A3T 3Lo
What I do like about this FS is the build up to the final jump, Kaori's amazing 3Lo, and how the landing is timed right on that climactic cymbal crash.

This seems to be an exceptionally cold rink
Kaori was obviously freezing and started to shake and jump around during the wait before her skate.
I felt bad for her but it was really cute.

Women's level 7, 8 Warm up Group 3

Yuhana Yokoi
2A 3F 3Lo(fall) 2A 3Lz3T 1Lz 3S2T2Lo

Dozed off during Group 4...😴

Group 5

Yuna Aoki
3Lz2Lo 2AEu3F 3F 3S 3Lz(2ft? so?) 2A2T 2Lo CCoSp (spins both ways)

Marin Honda
2A3T(hangs on) 3F 3S 2A 3Lo(ot) 1S 1T2T2Lo
She started her program really well then after the third or fourth jump began looking fatigued and kept putting her hand on her chest.
Looked as if she was about to pass out after she got off the ice
Maybe doing both Nagoya Fes and this event was too much for her?
Hope she'll be okay and feels better soon.

Chisato Uramatsu
3Lz2T 3F2T 2A 3F 3Lz 3Lo 1AEu2S
She tends to be a much stronger SP skater so this was actually a pretty good FS for her

Riko Takino
3S(fall) 2A(fall) 2T2T 2F(fall) 2A(fall) 2SEu1S 2Lo
I was really looking forward to seeing Riko skate after such a long time away.
This was a really rough skate for her (and honestly hard to watch) but it was good to see her get out there and try her best.
It'll likely take some time for her to adjust to a more mature physique and the increased power she now has going into her jumps.
Hope she sticks it out and can continue to train and improve without further injury and issues.
You can still see that charming performer from her Jr days shining through.

Group 6
Was focused on writing about girls in Group 5 and pretty much missed Chiyono Nagami's dynamic Black Swan program (and forgot to record last group 😞)
Apparently, she did quite well. Will try to catch her when stream is archived

Ibuki Sato
2A3T slipped, fell on entry to a jump 3F 3S2T 3T 2A2T2Lo 3S

A few of the Women's performances (will try to upload more programs after event is archived)

Kaori Sakamoto
I shouldn't be amused by Kaori's suffering but watching her deal with the freezing rink before her skate was too adorable so I had to include it

Rinka Watanabe
Yuna Aoki
Yuhana Yokoi
Marin Honda

Off to finish watching Nagoya Fes before the archive disappears

On a related note, do you happen to know who all will be at Kokutai? Wondering what Keiji's next competition will be...

Oh Surimi, I'm so sorry for the delayed reply! Just read your post today.
I'm the absolute worst when it comes to checking notifications, messages and just following up in general. 🙇‍♀️

About Kokutai, I still don't think I've found a comprehensive entry list for participating figure skaters.
The competition schedule in this pdf shows time alloted for 28 Sr Men, 32 Sr Women, 32 Jr Men and 32 Jr Women's SPs
Not sure if this was just an estimate of participants when the schedule was first created. Entries listed in this same pdf are much less.
I've also seen a few prefectures announce their representatives.
Haven't seen Keiji mentioned but Sota is supposed to be participating.

Got to go to work now but hopefully I can find more accurate info later.

(Speaking of Sota, have you seen his Nagoya Fes performance yet? It was so good! Nearly clean, besides a tripled opening 4S attempt.
It's the FS performance he wanted at Nats)

Thanks, much appreciated! ^ ^ I would be surprised if Keiji wasn't at Kokutai - if the Okayama team was Keiji and Yuto like last year, then they have a fair chance of winning. IDK who they'll pick to accompany Mitsuki for Osaka, but Osaka may also do well. I doubt Yuma or Shun will be there for Tokyo... Kimichika is a sweet-looking boy, but a look at his result list this year tells me that Sota's result (huh, hopefully worlds better than last year's trainwreck of a SP which left fans very worried) likely won't be enough.

Yup, some kind souls posted Sota's Nagoya performance on YT, which makes me happy. After learning that Sota's 2017 Chubu SP was gone b/c user banned, as did his All Japan Novice 'Dragon' (didn't save either -_-), the Nagoya videos cheered me up.

One more thought about Inkare - if you have Taichiro's program saved somewhere, I would love to see it. I may see his 'Godfather' in a week already, but I can't be sure he'll be at Kokutai, so if you can upload his Inkare on Google Drive, it would be great. :)
