From a update from Christine Brennan on x.com apparently the US and Japanese team will get their medals on August 7 in Paris if nothing else goes wrong. Will this finally be the day? https://x.com/cbrennansports/status/1798761360031207914
Just read the post above. This is not about legal rights but athletes and coaches abiding by wada's Code. And that's why they are suggesting they would like stricter rules. If the rules pass, then those would be the rules to follow. But would they be able to appeal to a human rights court? I...

But discussion in a dedicated thread is probably easier to follow .
TL; DR of my posts in that thread:
Ain't gonna happen because appeals will not be resolved, the big old "if" that Christine inserted. That isn't "if nothing goes wrong", that is a predicate that has not happened yet. Not surprising with Christine's clickbait-y ways.
Could they just give them their gold and silver medals and leave the bronze for another day when all is done and figured out? I am very sad for the teams who won medals and I have empathy and I am glad so many are supporting the Americans and Japan - though Ihave seen other injustices even bigger like when there was a obvious error and the American lad got the gold over the Canadians. That seemeed to takea decade to fix.
Handing out gold and silver to States and Japan bypasses the conversation about and with Russia altogether, so I can see why, but then again, why Paris would want this ball at all instead of kicking it down the road to 2026? Winter sports is not their business strictly speaking. Let the Winter Olympics sort out its own messes.
