Now that today's quota of Pairs skating has been filled, it is time to return to the Singles skating. And we will be spending the next few hours with the Juniors.

This is where it gets a bit complicated, because immediately after the last skater finishes, we have a combined group of Junior Men's and Junior Ladies skaters that are doing the Interclub event. But, since they are in a group of their own, I'll do a separate reminder post for them.

Now, that's good timing. I've just come back after eating my dinner, and it's just in time for Elizabeth Golding!

So, Group 2 of the Olympic Men's FS can wait a few minutes.

I was going to joke about needing to wear sunglases because of her bright dress. But, I could have been doing with sunglasses so that I didn't see the start of that programme.

It was a disaster of a start. Falls on all of her first three elements. Thankfully, there weren't any more after that. But, it wasn't great.

She was already crying as she was coming off the ice. And she didn't stop.

I just wanted to give her a big hug.

The microphones at the sofa were able to pick up Elizabeth and her coach talking, but I couldn't understand what they were saying because they were speaking in Russian. Maybe that's a good thing for me.

I wonder if this was the effects of a growth spurt. It's been a long time since I saw Elizabeth, and she has grown so much that I nearly didn't recognise her! She is a lot taller than I remember her.

She goes into 10th out of 10. And she is over 12 points behind the skater directly in front of her in 9th position.

There are still 3 skaters to go. But, I think she should prepare herself for remaining in last position.

It'll be better next time.

And now back to the Interclub event for the aformentioned combined group of Junior skaters. 1 boy followed by 3 girls. (I do wonder why they didn't put them the other way around, as the ISU Junior Ladies are on before them, and the ISU Junior Men are on after them).

Really hope that Elizabeth has a redemption skate after the disaster skate that was yesterday's SP.

Well it was a bit better a start. The first element should have been a fall, but she saved it with a double hands down. The second element was a fall, though.

Then she had a clean period, but then had 2 more falls on consecutive elements in the middle of the programme.

The last section of the programme was clean as well.

Well, there weren't any tears today. She was more angry than upset. She was speaking in English, and suffice to say she was not happy.

But then, she started laughing and joking, asking when her next competition was. So, it's good that she is putting this disaster of a weekend behind her so quickly.

Elizabeth wasn't really interested when the scores were being announced. 48.13 in the FS, which brings her to 74.19.

Well, this weekend definitely didn't go the way she would have wanted. But, it's over now.

Onwards and upwards.

I said we were completing the Ladies competitions but, like yesterday, we actually have stray boy in amongst the girls. The reason being that we have a combined group of non-ISU Junior skaters after the ISU Junior Ladies. 1 boy and 3 girls.
