Drat! I have other plans for this afternoon, and was hoping the Gala would be finished by then. But it'll only be starting!

Oh, well. I'll just have to give it a miss, and hope the stream survives.

Just reached Sofiya FARAFONOVA, and she was doing her "Amies-ennemies" SP, but with a different costume.

And during the piano instrumental section at the end of the programme, she demonstrated perfectly why you should not try to be too clever with costume changes.

Unfortunately, there were no graphics, which led to difficulties with the names of the young local skaters. I think the boy's surname is Abdulkasimov, but I couldn't make out his first name any of the times it was said. As for the girls, I wrote what I thought was the spelling of their surname (I wonder if they are sisters). But, it is probably wrong.

So, if anybody knows the correct names, I would appreciate the help.

By the way, if you are watching the archived livestream, don't close it when they start showing the highlights video after the Finale is over. Because they cut back to the arena a few seconds later. Levandi, the Korean boys and Petrosian had started putting on their own show for the rapidly shrinking crowd.
