Just went through all 22 pages, and I have to admit that Midori's is the only name that I recognise. Unless, of course, there are familiar faces entered under unfamiliar married names.

I see that as well as Midori, we have a Yurika Ito competing. Are they related? (Don't worry, I know "Ito" is a VERY common surname).

There are two skaters representing Cyprus that I haven't come across before. Going by the videos I have found on YouTube, Liubov Savinovskaya has been representing Cyprus in Adult Skating for at least 7 years. šŸ˜² Meanwhile, Natalia Novoselova Stylianou has been representing Cyprus in Adult Skating for at least 2 years.

I have to say, I love the name of the Finnish Synchro team - "Team Antique". For that matter, the Swedish Synchro team has a good name too - "Team Dizharmony".

I hope for the skaters sakes that those names are tongue in cheek. :p

Lots of familiar names among active adult skaters. Glad for those that are going to make the trip. I understand O'dorf is a fun comp.

Just a couple of wee questions for those that are more familiar with Adult Skating than I am.

Are the segments at each level stand alone competitions, or is there an overall score for each level?

Is it normal in Adult Skating to have the "normal" FS before the Artistic FS?

The reason I ask is that I have been making out tables of past results for the two skaters representing Cyprus. I have based the order of the columns on the schedules for the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Oberstdorf event (I can't find the schedules for earlier editions). And it just doesn't look right having the columns for the higher scoring programme before the columns for the lower scoring programme.

And having done it before for a whole pile of events that one of their former Cypriot team-mates competed in, I don't fancy spending a lot of time working out overall positions. It is a nightmare to do!

EDIT (15th May 2023): Ignore this post. I checked Zoe Jones' Fan Fest to see what I did when she competed in this event back in 2014, and found that I had given each segment it's own row. So, I have done the same in the tables for Liubov and Natalia.

Also, I have looked at the Time Schedules again, and realised that the Artistic FS is before the "normal" FS this year. It was the last year that it was the other way around.

So, now I haven't a clue what is the normal event format! :drama:

The ISU International Adult Competition is due to be starting now. At least, it is according to the Provisional Time Schedule that was released a month ago. I can't find anything more recent than that.

Since I will not be watching, and since there is no updated Time Schedules, I'll just do a combined post for the whole day.

Livestream for today's Artistic FS competitions is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream (ā‚¬5 per day):

Normal is whatever works for the chief referee building the schedule. ;)

For US Adult Nationals, FS events were before Artistic (Showcase) events. Not sure about other countries who host adult championships

Wow, have I got heartburn with self-reporting for these international events. I guess it just means I will only do domestics

Apart from Midori Ito and Gary Beacom, the only name I recognized from past international competitions was (possibly) Claudia Binder for Switzerland, who may be the Claudia Kristofics-Binder who was a student of Carlo Fassi. She'd be in her sixties now, if that is her.

Like I understood the week-pass is for 5 ā‚¬ and live results you would get with the sportity app Sportity App (PW: Adult-2023)

Aha. When it said ā‚¬5 on each stream's page, I thought that meant that each stream cost ā‚¬5. Considering that this is not a well-known branch of the sport, I thought that was rather on the expensive side when you added it all up (6 days would be ā‚¬30). But, ā‚¬5 for the whole event sounds more like it.

Well, we'll know for sure today, when somebody who paid for yesterday's stream goes into today's stream.

Normal is whatever works for the chief referee building the schedule. ;)

Looking at the order for today, it definitely looks like there is no obvious logic used in constructing the schedule. So, you are probably right.

As for my reason for asking, in the end, for those events that I had a schedule, I listed the segments in the order they took place. And for those events that I didn't have a schedule for, I put the Artistic FS before the "normal" FS. It's not ideal, but it was the best I could do without the schedules.

Thank goodness I decided to change the table format to having the two types of competition in separate rows, because I wouldn't have been able to vary the order if I had kept them as columns.

Is it safe to say that JPN is gonna win this in the categories where they have a starter? :scratch2:

Nope. One of the two skaters representing Cyprus that I mentioned in my first post in this thread, Liubov Savinovskaya, won the Silver Ladies III FS yesterday by 0.62 points over a Japanese skater, Michiko Hayashi.

By the way, when I was looking through past results from this event a few days ago, I discovered that Midori Ito has competed in it before. I can't remember when exactly it was, though, that I saw her name. But, it was a good few years ago.
