Yes, they are a new team, and yes the pairs elements are new, but they've gelled together wonderfully. You can see Sumitada's experience with his last pairs partnership carrying over. Sumitada needs more stamina, but he came from juniors and has to do an extra lift in the FS, so this is far more than he is used to having to do. I really hope they stick it out and continue to push through because they can be really good.

On the plus side not completely They got a base level, still better than losing all the points!

They look really promising though, and look at those flags fly!

And Sumitada had the highest BV before with his prior partner too - 3S+3T+2A.

Oof. I don't know anything about them, but looks like two single skaters that only recently switched to pairs?
The lifts look scary, the throws are thankfully very low and small, otherwise I'd be terrified.

Strong skating skills, strong jumps, and so much potential, but still a lot of work to be done.
He needs some more upper-body training, just compare his arms & shoulders to some of the more experienced pairs men here, and she still needs to gain some more confidence and routine in pairs elements

Not bad though, like 2 pts away from 4CC minimums with a lot of troubled elements.

I actually wonder if the problems with the lifts is more that Yuna doesn't know how to use her core to help out yet, as Sumitada has more pairs experience.

Yep, JGP.

Honestly don't think Yuna can do any triple-triples, and her 3Lz is inconsistent, so 3Lo+2A+2A is their best bet.

This team is so close to a breakthrough. Once they work on the quality of the in-betweens and the elements, they are going to be fantastic. Kelly Ann is a great performer, the jumps look solid, and their twist is great.
