Initial odds are out:

Russian Championships. Women.
WINNER

Valieva Kamila 1.50
Akatyeva Sofia 4.00
Petrosyan Adelia 5.00
Tuktamysheva Elizaveta 10.00
Muravyova Sofya 12.00
Samodelkina Sofya 15.00
Trusova Alexandra 18.00
Yametova Veronika 50.00
Sinitsyna Ksenia 70.00
Zinina Anastasia 80.00
Gorbacheva Alina 200.00
Gushchina Ksenia 250.00
Frolova Anna 300.00
Zakharova Sofia 500.00
Fedyanina Victoria 700.00
Nesterova Victoria 800.00
Paramonova Mariya 1000.00
Latushkina Agneta 1000.00

Kamila is a healthy favorite. The Akatieva and Petrosyan odds are certainly juicy. Not much faith in Trusova. At 18.00, that may be worth a punt as well. If Latushkina wins, people will get rich.

Trusova is not even favorite to beat Sofia S in the short program.

The main event head to head battle in the SP is this one
Russian Championships. Wom. Short program. Who is higher
Tuktamysheva Elizaveta 1.85
Akatyeva Sofia 1.85
Truly 50/50.

Also, an intriguing SP prop here:
Valieva Kamila 1.40
Tuktamysheva Elizaveta 2.75

How do you watch Russian Nationals if Channel 1 is blocked in your country? I don't have a VPN. Is there a free reliable way to watch? Thank you.
It will be shown on this youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ice_skating
This channel is available to watch outside of Russia without vpn.
Detailed links will be posted in the relevant threads when they become available.

I think the draw is today. Anyone have a link or know how to watch? I believe it's for all disciplines?

We have some training info:
- Tuktik: sp runthrough 3A + 2A, 3Lz + 3T, 3F (not super clean)
- Sonik: FS runthrough 3A, two 4T and 3F + eu + 3S. They say she looks in great shape
- Addy: FS runthrough, 4Lo, 4T, 4T+2A. She also tried 3A two times and landed one.
- Kami: FS runthrough, two 4T, one slight mistake, the other good.
- Sasha: FS runthrough, two 4Lz, one hand down, one popped. She tried 4Lz once more after and fell. There was a 3A attempt.

I doubt they will stream it this time.
Thanks. That's disappointing - I enjoy watching it and it's so interesting to me because I don't know of any other federation that has such a ceremony for their draw (assuming they do one). Also it's fun to see the skaters dressed up, etc.

I’m with friends and family over the next two weeks, but I’ll watch everything, hopefully most of it in real time. I really can’t wait and the thought of Pairs alone makes me super excited. Wishing all great and healthy skates and a great event for all - as usual. This is like Worlds to me. 🥳😍🎄🍻🥂 Hope you’re all having a great time.

Mikhail Kolyada WD due to an exacerbation of chronic sinusitis.

It was clear at the stages that he is not healthy.

Really sad to hear this. Hope Mischa gets well soon.

I wonder what this means for his chances to make the National team next year, now that he can't participate in the Nationals... 🫤

They usually add skaters to the reserve if they aren't able to take part for health reasons. Plus, probably Misha will be ready for the final.

Thanks! Good to know he still has options left :)

This season hasn't quite worked out for him yet, so fingers crossed the second half will be better!
