2023 Triglav Trophy & Narcisa Cup

The 2023 Triglav Trophy & Narcisa Cup will take place Apr 12-16, 2023, in Jesenice, Slovenia, at the Sports Park Podmežakla. This international event will feature all the Singles (Women and Men) discipline at the Novice, Junior, and Senior levels.

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the 2022 ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating and Ice Dance, and relevant ISU Communications.

Entrees from quite a few countries, mostly unknown to me. But, I also saw Gabriele and Ginevra from Italy. Whom I do know! Looking forward to seeing them.

A few names jumped out a me. Vayana Hristova is in the Basic Novice I entries, although big sister Chiara isn't in the Junior entries. The skaters with famous sporting surnames, Djokovic and Nedved, are entered. Plus, there are lots of potenital sibling battles.

On that note, just returning to the Triglav Trophy for a moment, does anybody know if Junior skater Sara Klementina SEDEJ (SLO) is David's sister? Or if they are perhaps related in some other way.

Good to see both of the Lengyelova sisters entered (Olivia in Juniors and Alica in Advanced Novice). It will be interesting to see if they both win their respective competitions again.

I would love to watch this. But, the times for the WTT in Japan and the MotoGP in Texas fit nicely together. So, I will be watching them instead.

Wow! I saw my first Pokémon programme last week at the Inclusive Skating World Championships, courtesy of one of my local skaters. And now this week, the Narcissa Cup is starting with another, courtesy of one of the host country's skaters.

As I said last week, I was not a big fan of Pokémon back in the day, but I loved the theme tune. And I loved the two programmes I have now seen to it!

But, it makes me feel old to think that these kids weren't even born when Pokémon was a big thing!

We start with a Basic Novice quadruple-bill. 30 younger girls; followed by 24 middle girls; followed by 3 boys and 17 older girls.

First up are the 30 younger girls, who are arranged into a group of 7 girls; then two groups of 8 girls; then a resurfacing; then a group of 8 girls.
