In the middle tier outside the medals
I am still sorting out the newest teams. Upon rewatch Zingas/Kolesnik maximized the point values the best putting a lot of pressure on Carreira/Ponomarenko. A twizzle error on his part sunk McNamara/Spiridonov who seemed to be on an upward trajectory. Very close for Bratti/Somerville who lost points on step sequence levels. Wolfkostin/Chen had a nice recovery in the free skate, but were sunk by yet another error in the RD. Intense battles here and every small mistake matters. Exciting and stressful for fans and skaters.
in the next tier clearly Oona & Gage have the best skills, Pate/Bye the best polish, but not enough speed, Flores & Desyatov are very promising. Ling & Wein still need work on components.

The skating judges have done everything the can to boost the spirts of Chock and Bates. They have improved and maxed the points out of their programs. I think they will win worlds and retire into the sunset.
