This women's list is really really short. You can see the effect of no juniors coming in due to the senior age change. Most of these women will get a spot, or some competitions will probably not have 12 entries.
And no, Josefin Taljegård is not eligible for the replacement list as she was only 78th in SB list last season. Neither is Lara Naki Gutmann (77th) and Sofja Stepcenko (99th) even though they already have an assignment due to their world ranking.

Didn't Grimm/Savitskiy already say they are doing another season on the JGP circuit? If so, that would be a spot that would open up at Skate Canada.

Also, I had the right idea when I said Yuna Aoki might be at SkAm 👀😜

I'll do a full break-down later, but I'm especially excited for singles this year. The GP looks to be very competitive and deep, and I expect we'll start to see pieces of the Olympic puzzle lock into place. I'm happy to see Jason and Alysa back, and am intrigued that Yuma and Ilia are doing back-to-backs. Women will be a bloodbath, pairs fascinating, and we will see if any new dance teams can break into the top and disrupt the status quo. Overall, it should be a great fall!

omg... this is going to be an intense season.... Dance is stacked... nobody seems to have retired from the top teams. WOOT! Go Piper and Paul !

Good on Skate Canada for only saving one TBD (pairs) and confirming things that we already know would happen early (Sara-Maude as third host spot for instance and Fabbri-Ayer as well)

Gogolev seems to be fit enough to compete. Good news.
Roman : only one spot but he is so popular, maybe he will get invited later on ?

Chiu not at Skate Canada is a bit of a surprise but then, he is on the West Coast and it makes sense for him to do China and Texas.

A bit bummed about the very few spots Canadians are getting but the rules are the rules :) they just need to skate better all season, and of course, well maybe one day Skate Canada will realize of the importance of Challengers.... and send more athletes there.

If I were to go somewhere, I'd pick Skate Canada to see Piper and Paul, LaLa and Deanna and Max, especially since Kaori , Lopareva Brissaud, and Liu will skate there.

Interesting that SKAM didn't invite any Canadians for pairs...

Glad to see other skaters like Bradie or Jason who have not been doing GPs or not at Worlds back.

Of course, these assignments are so early.... no idea why Grassl is there but happy Frangipani got SCI and Rizzo is back.

I never doubted that Marco and Charlène would return with home games just a couple seasons away... but since some were expressing doubt, well, glad they are confirmed. I sort of wondered if Maddie and Evan would retire... but I guess they want more.

I am going to end this post right away : this will change guys ;) this will change ;) but it's nice to have the making of the season somewhere... at least, knowing that injured skaters are returning, or ending the retirements rumours. I had enough with Conrad and Shoma... (and Patrick from retiring from SOI).

In terms of my kids, I have two sets.

Camille KOVALEV / Pavel KOVALEV (FRA) in Pairs in France and China.
Emilea ZINGAS / Vadym KOLESNIK (USA) in Ice Dance in Canada and Finland.

Staying with the Ice Dancers, I had been hoping that Sofía VAL / Asaf KAZIMOV (ESP) would get an assignment. But, alas. That said, you never know, they might still.

I would check where they are in the World Standings, but none of the pages on either version of the ISU Results site are loading. Given the time of year, I would normally say that they are probably getting updated. But, I am not so sure that is the case this year, because there are other problems.

You know the way that the new site (results.isu.org) was secure (https://) and the old site (www.isuresults.com) was unsecure (http://). And because of this, I replaced all the links in my Fan Fests so that they would point to the new site, and started using links to the new site in all my reminder posts.

Well, I noticed a week or so ago that the new site isn't secure any more. Which means that all the links in my posts are now coming up with security warnings when you click them! :bang:

The upshot is that both versions of the ISU Results site are well and truly up the creek.

As usual, the ISU have completely messed things up.

A few surprise since I thought a few listed is age ineligible to compete and some teams split or retired.
