Looking forward to seeing how Hase/Volodin figured out their LP music. Also, Gamez/Korovin will be going for their TES minimums for worlds. They are likely to take silver in this event, which would be a repeat of two years ago. :)

That underrotated salchow is a plague for G/K. :(
Can someone explain to me why they get low/negative GOEs on this triple twist?
Also do they only get level 3 because of Isabella's split position?
I gotta say I love their music. I love a modern remix.

I see they didn't list a coach for Gamez/Korovin, but they seem to be progressing nicely. Do you guys know who coaches them?

I'd like to understand more about this too! Ok underrotated sals, that's obvious, but the GOEs for what they seem to do well... they seem underscored?

Pairs free skate has been cancelled due to the weather. :(
This is really sad for Hase/Volodin who needed to practice the FS before the GP and for teams like Gamez/Korovin trying to get tech minimums. The money they spent traveling to France, too. Small feds don't have a lot of cash to throw around.
I hope they at least get medals as official event winners, not just "small medals" for short program.

From the photo Skate Canada posted, the medals look to be the same for the Junior Men and Junior Women, so not small medals.

It is a shame for the skaters looking for CTES though. Hopefully the teams looking to get them here can get them at their next competition.

Makes sense. Tbh, in pairs, the situation with placements was pretty clear after short.

I don't know how this works, but I suppose a curtailed event won't count for the purposes of world standings nor TES ? just to be sure

Also only 4 teams will probably not help it

I think that this case might be have a 50/50 chance with the world standings but not applicable with CTES for the likes of G/K. We'll just have to find out the outcome for the next few days.
