Entries are up!

Five senior tams, among them the debut of Morozov/Chen and Cui/Rogers.
Thirteen junior teams, including Ilin/Cain, the Peals, the Mullens, Renzi/Lissauer, Kenny Eckert (Amy Cui's former partner) and his new partner, and a whole bunch of the top Novice teams moving up to Juniors (Robertson/Cornwell, Deych/Hu, Koevi/Homawoo) - Bonus: New baby Swedish Dance team: Giselle Avril Egenas/Jonathan Young.

Jonathan previously competed in the US domestically with three other partners, Giselle was a singles skater representing Sweden at the pre-novice levels.

Oof, some interesting results here after the Rhythm Dance.

Let's get to the Seniors first - Morozov/Chen in first with a score of 70.11, which puts them very squarely in the same category as Flores/Desyatov and in contention for the SkAm host spot. Larson/Kapran (UKR) in second with 65.57 points and the new team of Cui/Rogers in third with a score of 61.
Without videos. it's hard to tell if the scores here are a bit inflated or even a bit conservative - This is a PB in the RD for Larson/Kapran, but Koncius/Shchepetov's score is very much in line with what they scored around this time last season. I guess we'll see how some of these teams square up against each other and other top teams at Lake Placid International.

Now Juniors... A few withdrawals (Robertson/Cornwell, Egenas/Young (SWE), Chen/Eckert), and a little bit of a shake-up in the standings.
Aboian/Veselukhin (new and quite young team - 14 & 17 years old) out in first, then the Mullens, Ilin/Cain and only then the Peals (with an unfortunate fall on the midline step sequence). Renzi/Lissauer (9th Jr Nats) and Deych/Hu (2nd Nov Nats) round out the top 6.

Jeffrey and Annabelle withdrew. I wonder if they'll be at the next comp.
I assume they're just not ready to do the Free at a competition yet. Cui/Rogers also withdrew.

I'm guessing they will be at Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships (probably not Lake Placid Ice Dance International, as they are not yet part of the ISP unless they are added after this competition), that's their best chance at competing for the SkAm host spot.

In Juniors, Hana Maria Aboian/Daniil Veselukhin have made a very strong statement. 1st in the RD, 2nd in the FD and 1st overall, beating the Mullens, Ilin/Cain and the Peals.

Not sure exactly of the criteria for the ISP (Does anyone know more?), but I think they and Michelle Deych/Ryan Hu will be added after this competition.
