Kids in two consecutive groups! :drama:

Well, it's a skater in the last group of the Ladies SP, and a patnership in the first group of the Pairs SP.

A great Throw Triple Salchow when Zarah and Alex were first shown! (Thank you Ted for telling me what it was!)

Then at the other end of the rink Alex lifted Zarah, but they immediately aborted it.

When the cameras came back to them, Ted used them to explain how the element they were doing works. Which was cool.

I get the impression that he likes them.

The first two partnerships were really good. A great start to the competition.

But now it is time for my kids. (The last of my kids in Ankara. But, I've got another in Oberstdorf later on).

:cheer: ALL THE BEST ZARAH AND ALEX!!! :cheer:

Ach, Alex didn't have a great landing on the Double Axel.

Double Twist Lift good

And the next lift looked impressive. But, I would be worried that they may get a time violation deduction for it being too long.

Throw Triple Salchow was impressive too.

Back Outside Death Spiral good.

There as some really innovative choreography.

Out of sync on Sit Spins. But recovered for the final set of spins.

You could see how delighted they were as soon as they finished!

Chris with them. So, Zoe must be at home looking sorting out the other kids this week.

Awwww. The three of them spelt out the word "MUM"!

I've known for a while that Zarah was a real character, but all three of them are!

Zarah and Alex go into 3rd position.

It may be last position, but they were really good!

:cheer: WELL DONE ZARAH AND ALEX!!! :cheer:

I knew it! I could tell last week when we had three partnerships in a row that came up through the Canadian system, but only one of them was representing Canada, that Ted doesn't like skaters switching countries.

But when he explained it from the viewpoint of somebody who works for the Fed, I could understand why he takes that view. Because they have invested money in the skater(s), and now somewhere else is getting the benefit of it.

That's fine but, if the field is too big and too deep, what are skaters supposed to do to achieve their dreams of competing on the international stage?! (Especially since Canada currently doesn't seem to like to send skaters to international events).

I thought that was funny before they started. It looked like Sae couldn't decide what way she wanted to face, and Lucas had to keep moving to a different spot as she kept changing her mind!

They got badly out of sync on the Change Foot Combination Spins. Lucas was visibly spinning a lot faster than Sae was.

Hard to believe that we are now already half-way through this competition.

They go into 3rd position.

Right, time for a break, and then KMT arrives. It's a pity that she hasn't arrived already, because it would be nice for her to be interviewed by the guys like Cathy Reed was last week.

Mark saying he is too submissive!

Ah, they are interviewing Kirsten. She must just have been a bit late in arriving.

My goodness! Kirsten is at it as well! :dbana:

One of my pet hates about Mark is that he keeps referring to people as "humans". I thought it was just a quirk of his, because I had never come across anybody else doing it before. But now I hear Kirsten doing it too. :drama:

Where and when did this come from?! Can it go back?!

It's lovely to hear from retired skaters during the JGP series. Now we have Kirsten, last week or so it was Kaetlyn.
I'm guessing Tessa/Scott is too much of a push? 😇

Zarah and Alex had an amazing throw!

Sae and Lucas had great jumps and spins.

I wonder if Jazmine and Kieran can take the lead here.

I thought I was the only one who didn't like the 'humans' thing. 🤣 I don't understand what is wrong with referring to people as people.

Yes, I just went looking for the videos of Kirsten Moore Towers / Andrew Evans (CAN) at the 2008 Junior GP Mexico Cup, but to no avail. 😞

Interesting to hear her views on the age rules.

Whoa, we're back already. That resurfacing and warm-up just flew by!

Which is an indication of how interesting it was listening to Kirsten.

Well done to whoever it was that decided to have these guests during the coverage.  :points:

I really have to make sure to go back and listen to Kaetlyn Osmond. Hey, she was one of my skating wives, after all! ;)

Oh no! Aborted lift!

I'm not sure when the switch to 'humans' started, it sounds more biological and scientific to me. Maybe the term 'people' can be mistaken for a particular group or community, whereas with humans you know someone means all people.
