So, the short program is today at 4:40pm EST. I'm concerned about Desrochers / Thrasher after their recent Canadian event debut. Jazmine needs to show more strength and confidence on the jump elements. I forgot to adjust my placement predictions for pairs. But whatever happens will happen.

I've heard it mentioned in other places before, I'm not sure where it originated from.

She has competition results on iceXel that go back to 2016 for Singles. I'm wondering if it came out of learning Pairs? She started the discipline in 2022-23 with Aidan Wright, so that could be where it came from.

I'm so excited for the pairs today! We have Liv, Laugh, Luke, who are just wholly delightful, Desrochers/Thrasher, and Zhang/Huang, who have one of the best 3F throws since Sui/Han.

If this is indeed the case I really hope that they actually stick around as a team, I've seen so so so many Chinese junior pairs splitting after a season or two

One of my favourite programmes of all time was a gala programme done to this music. (See GIF above)

And because of that, I am a very disappointed in the bland costumes. Anna Pogorilaya's gold dress was sensational. (As was Conchita's!)

Did I miss something, or did Louise and Matthis not take the opportunity to do a lift on the title line?! If they didn't do it, they missed an open goal!

Ted and his smooth, sinuous voice have redeemed a week or thunderstorms and insomnia for me. I'm so happy skating is back, Ted is back, and that triple twist wasn't bad, either!
