Interesting Rena vs Kaoruko
Also Ikura is skating here.
Actually, Mei Okata in the last competition (National Jr. high) won over Kaoruko. So I'm more interested to see if Mei might take-over and have a higher chance to get JGP assignment, maybe?

Yuhana Yokoi is updating some of the results in her twitter/X account. BTW...I'm wondering what happened to Yuhana's sister, Kinayu? Kinayu is not in any of the competitions at the moment, and suppose she's moving up to Sr? :scratch2:

Oh Mei Okada scored over 60! We need to see how Kaoruko and Ikura do, If they are clean we can expect better scores but in the case of Kaoruko she is prone to urs and q marks and for Ikura step outs and falls, I'm not worry about Rena to be honest

I just really love this music for Kao. Big music with big accents for big jumps and big skating. But... I really wonder if he can use some artistic mentoring, especially for his movement quality. The immense energy and passion is there, which makes the incredible lack of polish stands out. And I think this can be taught, especially considering Kao is still young and has the stamina to work on more details.

Kazuki has Misha Ge, Yuma has Carolina Kostner, and Shun has Guillaume Cizeron. Even Shoma benefitted from working together with Stephane. So... Akiko Suzuki, maybe? Satoko Miyahara, when she's not touring the world?
This is super late but you hit the nail in the head here re: Kao. I've always thought Kao has incredible talent and potential to be right there at the top, but he needs to work on that polish. I hope he and his team realise that, because it would be a waste not to do so.

Mana SP: Someone Like You
Oh, Mana's skating with Adele's vocals? I can see that being a good match. I hope it's the original Someone Like You.

This is super late but you hit the nail in the head here re: Kao. I've always thought Kao has incredible talent and potential to be right there at the top, but he needs to work on that polish. I hope he and his team realise that, because it would be a waste not to do so.
It's such an obvious thing to work on. Although considering the proximity to the 2026 Olympics, it's probably a good thing not to disrupt his current routine too much and risk affecting his jump stability, which can happen with a new creative mentor.

Yes, she trains in Taiwan at SFC Intl Skating School! Pin Jane Chen (Karina), the last qualifier here, trains under the same coaches :) most of the skaters that participate in CTSU comps don’t live in Taiwan full time though, similar to HKG.
Renee has some really pretty spin variations though, she’s a really enjoyable skater to watch!

Let's see what happens with the junior ladies, Mei and Kaoruko needs to do great if they want to be at jgp, Rena is garanted, Ikura may be in danger if she is not consistent with her programs, same case with Ayumi Shibayama, Haruna Murakami and Yo takagi
