"it's not bad "just" causes pain" :palmf: 🫠

This is why after Tokyo Regional I said he needed to get his left foot/leg rechecked and imaged

SO STUBBORN!!! :drama::bang:😭
*sigh* We know this isn't the first time Kao has competed while injured, and it might not be the last... (And I was watching him on the practice stream... 😣) All I can do at this point is adopt the attitude of "no expectations and a lot of hope." (and maybe this attitude could help you too) No expectations: to not attach to any potential result, whether positive or negative. A lot of hope: a hope that is not attached to any particular result, a hope that is filled with positive thoughts and directed towards a skater that needs it. "Do the best you can do," "I believe in you," that sort of thing. Hang in there and keep cheering for Kao no matter what!

We have the same technical callers here as we had for the Women last night. I wonder how this will play out with this group!

I won't be able to watch the men's short live due to a scheduling conflict, but I did tune in to the practice today. The thing that really stood out to me was the improvement in performance from Kao and Ilia in particular. Ilia's basic skating and understanding of the music has come so far, and I love this short for him. He does modern, cool, and edgy so well, and there are so many amazing performative nuances throughout. I really wish I could see it live, especially if he skates it cleanly here on home soil. I wasn't wowed at Lombardia, or in years previous, but he has officially made me a fan. Kao had a better practice session today, although he was shaking out his leg during his runthrough, but what stood out to me was the intensity and speed. He's really grown into his short as well, and is giving it 200%. I was blown away (almost literally) by Kao's power, and then had such a big smile on face watching Ilia throw himself into this short and sell it to the 30 people in the audience. I'm so sad I'm going to miss this event, but hopefully you all have fun watching and everyone skates clean!

I also have a scheduling conflict that will prevent me from watching the Men's SP as well as the rhythm dance, but I'm happy to hear that Kao seems to be doing better in practice. I'll still be sending kind thoughts his way, though...🙏

I'll watch, but I'm busy editing Nebelhorn pics as well...so probably not going to say a lot. But apparently the British fed wants to use some of my pics for their social media channels, I'll better work :D
