2024 Skate America Men's SP

I would have Kévin in 3rd (not by much over Nika due to jump tech but still, he was far superior in every other aspect), and Donovan ahead of Naumov, but otherwise I'm okay with the placements.

Men have manned but the second group definitely brought it !

I can't with that music Ilia. And I'm not going to say "If you like it". You're the World Champion. You should work on something more than what you "like" and you should be able to perform to more than just music you like. But I say this only because heaven knows you can execute with the best of them, and I think you can do it.

Kao is working on his expression, is showing us, dare I say, more in performance, and I love the improvement and the program.

But Nika in front of Kévin? Meh.

It's crazy when I am watching men (and I don't mean that like it sounds:ROFLMAO:), I do appreciate the skaters that have some kind of presentation and are not like a technical robot.

I am usually a technical skating fan, but sometimes men proves that I might not be...?

It's different with the women, if you don't have the tech, I am usually not a fan. Well, we'll see how that goes...next...

Ilia's skating, his joy and his passion for it, always give me a thrill.

No less an artistic skater than Jean-Luc Baker remarked during practice yesterday that Ilia has improved his artistry so much over the past three years, and I completely agree! :dance3:

Absolutely. It’s not a soft graceful style like some others, but he feels the music in his own way.

Well, for my predictions to be more correct I need Lucas to skate 40 points better than the rest in the free...

Piece of cake Lucas, you got it!

😭😭😭😭😭

edit for context: the FS is another beast but at least for today (yesterday, now) I am happy and relieved

Team Japan really does have the best WADA approved pain meds...
