I've not seen Miriam Kleiman before. I quite like her. Yes, there are technical weaknesses - but I think she's roughly on a par with some of the senior ladies who've had international assignments in recent seasons.

It they weren't sending Foster...or not yet sending Landry and Brezden, I don't think she will get out. There are also Uliana and perhaps Justine. Sara Maude got SCI but I am thinking she will get a Challenger before too.

She unfortunately didn't qualify for Nationals out of Challenge last season. I'm hoping she'll qualify this year, but there's only 14 spots available for Senior Women.

I don't think she'll get out either. Justine hasn't really been any better the last few times I've seen her, though.

I am so proud of Gabby.

This version of Dark Eyes suits her.

Ok fine, she only has two types of triples back.. but she will get the lutz for sure... the double was huge.. the loop also looked comfy.

She didn't do her 3t-3t because she needed to repeat the 3t in a separate pass but I think it's there here... considering the traditional ina bauer entrance into it.

Spins were good... though the changing direction could be smoother (nice to see she worked on spins and presentation)

My favourite part : the step sequence !

Bravo Gabby and welcome back !

Oh the pressure of being a Canadian skater.... Breken has been so good so far this summer.. and now, she probably knows she's going to be assigned internationally and has a melt down performance... Sigh.

i thought i wouldn't complain about it... but hey... why not : what is it with Skate Ontario not providing a tech box... they do everywhere else... Not only the sound sucks but no tech box. Considering it's the biggest province for skating, one would expect better.
The sound is driving me scatty. The out of tune Claire de Lune was painful and I know it was the stream not the actual recording being out of tune.

I would not call this a meltdown performance - It was still almost a 110 Free skate score and a 160+ total score.

There are only 4 Senior Canadian women (probably 5 after Kaiya is done) who have scored higher than that this season outside of Breken herself.

From what I saw (stream froze and missed a chunk in the middle) I think that programme suits where Kaiya's at in her development. Rotation needs work because international judges seem to be scrutinising her quite carefully now with it.

Fair enough....I wouldn't compare her to the others though but to her own skating. She did better in the other events.

I think this was wise for Kaiya to repeat the loop.

Also, she skated with a lot more poise than in previous years. I liked her youthful exuberance of previous years, but I like the more mature Kaiya here. This was a good LP for her...

I think there are a couple Qs... maybe a < on the 3toe ? but I felt the jumps were better today than they were yesterday
