The weekend in Tallinn is all about Ice Dancing. And it is starting now with Short Dance Saturday. 7 Junior partnerships; followed by 14 Senior partnerships.

Since I want to watch the programmes with sound, I have decided to leave watching the MotoGP coverage, and to play catch-up on the bikes once the Ice Dancing is over.

I apologise that this is being posted during the Group 1 Warm-Up. I wandered off at 6 minutes past the hour thinking it was quarter past the hour that it was starting, when it was actually ten past the hour.

I haven't been commenting because I've been eating. But I just wanted to say something about Alexia KRUK / Jan EISENHABER (DEU).

That is a VERY colourful costume that Alexia is wearing! A dress of various shades of yellow / gold, with a bright pink blouse that has had a pair of scissors taken to it! Contrast that to Jan, who is wearing a white shirt and black trousers. Oh, and a gold tie.

Still can't get used to Robynne Tweedale being a coach. I know she's about 10 years older than her students, but she looks about the same age as them!

I don't know anything about the backgrounds of Sonja LUKYANOVA WERNER / Isak Bengt-Eric GRANS (SWE). And their ISU Bio doesn't tell us anything either. But while waiting for their scores, they and their coach were speaking in English. And I can tell you something - they are real characters! And you can't help but really like them.

Unfortunately, they went into 6th and last position.
