Club entry list as of September 26 - https://www.skatinginbc.com/sites/d...5skatecanadabcytsectionalsentrylistbyclub.pdf

Christopher Manis is getting into Novice Pairs (I think with Ginevra Bellentani? She's the other Champs skater competing in Novice Pairs.) David Howes is competing as a guest and will not be ranked with the other Junior Men.

No David Li or Nguyen/Giang though. Entries were due yesterday, so this could be the final list. Talinn Trophy is the week after this, so it could give a bye to Challenge. I hope that's the reason 🤞

I'm not sure about the status of David Li, I hoped that him not being entered was a sign that he was assigned a Junior B. If he's given a bye, I don't know if he'll be intending to move up to Senior or stay Junior.

Start orders are up. David Li is competing for Senior Men, but he may have changed coaches. He's listed as representing Sunset FSC instead of Connaught. David Howes is not in the start order.

David Howes automatically makes it to challenge right? Because he is from Manitoba and has minimums? 🙏

Also, ps… enjoy watching these competitions without me for Thursday and Friday. I have plans. I will join in, on Saturday and Sunday

I think David Howes would, this is what the rules say:

If there are fewer entries than the normal quota of entries to the applicable Skate Canada Challenge or Skate Canada Trophy in any Sectional competition, the  Section may dispense with the competition and approve the entry of the competitors to Skate Canada Challenge or Skate Canada Trophy competition of the same  Category  (if applicable).
He's the only Junior Man in Manitoba, plus they put his picture on the Skate Manitoba site. I think he's fine to go to Challenge if he couldn't compete here.

Louie Fukuda-Wu - falls on both 3F and first half of combo, but nice 2A.

I've just found the entry list and they are ALL from Connaught!

Don't think I've seen Nico Conforti before. First one to complete combo, but then fell on both 3F and 2A. Not sure whether sit spin will get called when it's reviewed. He kind of fell out of the middle of it, although without an actual fall.

Wait, they're having skaters introduce their programs this year? I'm popping in while Ontario is doing an ice resurface.

Nice skate from Tehryn Lee. Unfortunately fell on 3F but had been so close to landing it. Should go into the lead. He looked pleased at the end.

William's going for the 3A in the short now, he did that at Autumn Leaves too. Not his jumping day though :console:

Not sure William Chan got his tactics correct here. Given that he needs to qualify, he would have been better with easier tech content and a cleaner skate. Fell on 3A (2A would probably have been clean) and 3Lz/combo. 3F was ropey.
