Starting orders (Korean in .xlsx format)

Nationals determines who gets Worlds tickets and is half the criteria for who gets in the National Team. NT members are decided by combining the results of Nationals and the Ranking Competition, the main team consists of 9 women, 5 men and 2 ice dance teams, the reserve team 9 women and 3 men. As always the distinction between seniors and juniors is domestic, i.e. not taking age into account.
*WC tickets: 1 ID team, 2 men, 3 women / JWC tickets: 3 men, 2 women

The top 30 skaters from the SP qualify into the FS.

@Jumping_Bean I found the answer on twitter: neither Breau/Lee nor Yoo/Grant got JWC minimums before the deadline for entry submission, and apparently according to KSU rules if you don't have minimums before the selection competition you don't get selected no matter what... (deep sigh)

... That's so stupid. These teams would still have until the 28th of January to get minimums, and you better believe that there will be teams without minimums now who will go to Jr Worlds because they were sent to for example Bavarian Open (20.01. - 26.01.) and got their minimums in time.

Honestly, that also really devalues the importance of Nationals to me - At least make it so that they can win something in the second half of the season, even if it's just an assignment to a Junior B event. But I guess the teams can at least save their money and stay in North America instead of travelling to South Korea for Nationals.

I'll bet my left thumbnail that KSU doesn't want to spend money on what could be a 'failed attempt', they'd rather choose not having a team at JWC than 'wasting' their money sending skaters to competitions 🤡 How nice of them to let the families of our teams save money on travel expenses 🤡🤡

Without any participants at Jr Worlds, Korea will only have two Ice Dance JGP spots next season. A shame.

Do the top competitors automatically make it to worlds or is it more complicated than that?
Top competitors who are age eligible are chosen in order of their final standings, e.g. if the top 5 women were the same as the Ranking Competition the teams would be Chaeyeon, Ahsun, Haein / Jia, Yuseong

All math is self inflicted. I am having this memory, false or true, that there was a way we could watch Korean TV last year?????

OK! I renewed and updated my VPN, pointed it at Korea, and Clicked Ichat's link. And there was KBS. I can get KBS 1 and KBS 2. Now I just have to figure out now much of what comp I am allowed to see at what time and what channel.
Looking at the TV guide, it appears that on Saturday, 1-4, 15:10 - 16:45 Korean time, there will be some men and women coverage on KBS 2.
And on Sunday, 1-5, 15:30 till 17:00, there will be some men and women coverage on KBS 1.
PST that would be as follows.
Friday, 1-3, 10:10 pm to 11:45pm KBS 2
Sat , 1-4, 10:30pm to midnight, KBS 1
All math is self inflicted.

As far as how many men and how many women are covered, well, I have no idea. But it looks like the ending to each day's 1.5 hour coverage jives with the end of the ladies.
