Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Brandon Frazier are pair skaters representing the U.S.A. On March 31, 2020 they made the announcement that they would be forming their new partnership.
Alexa was born on June 10, 1991 in Addision, Illinois, U.S.A. With her former partner and husband (Chris Knierim, whom she married in 2016), Alexa was a 2018 Olympic bronze medalist in the team event, a two-time medalist at Four Continents (2014, 2016), and a three-time U.S. national champion (2015, 2018, 2020). From 2012 to the end of the 2017/2018 season, Alexa and Chris trained with Dalilah Sappenfield. After a short time with Aljona Savchenko, she and Chris changed training environments and were coached by Jenni Meno and Todd Sand. Chris retired at the end of the 2019/2020 season.
Brandon was born on November 19, 1992 in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. Brandon and his former partner, Haven Denney, originally teamed up as roller skaters but switched to ice in 2004. They skated together from 2005-2008 and teamed up again in 2011 until the end of the 2019/2020 season, missing the 2015/2016 season because of a knee injury sustained by Haven. Together they were three-time Skate America medalists (2014, 2016, 2019), 2017 U.S. national champions, and the 2013 World Junior champions. They were most recently coached by John Zimmerman and Silvia Fontana. Previous coaches include Ingo Steuer, Dalilah Sappenfield, and Jim Peterson.
Alexa and Brandon are being coached by Jenni Meno and Todd Sand, and their training base is Great Park Ice & Sport Complex in Irvine, CA.
